About the wine
Antonio Navajas presses its wines here with son and daughter in the fourth generation. Since the mid-1970s, it has also been growing and marketing its own wines. The barren and beautiful landscape of Navarrete (Rioja Alta) in the Upper Ebro gives the grapes refinement. Rioja is the epitome of Spanish red wine. The family has now also managed to conjure up white wines with an exciting character. The breakthrough came in 2003 with Rioja Tinto Crianza and Reserva. Tasting note
It has a medium ruby red color. Intense, fragrant, complex aroma, ripe red fruits, balsamic, vanilla, roasted aromas. In the mouth, it is powerful, fresh, silky, with ripe tannins, with a great balance and complexity of aromas. Very well integrated red fruits with the balsamic, coffee, oak and roasted notes that the wood provides. It has a long, mineral aftertaste that is reminiscent of ripe fruit.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with tapas and snacks, as an aperitif.
Vinification
Fermentation in barrels. American and French oak aged for 24 months, then stored in the bottle for at least 12 months.
