About the wine
In 1880, at the tender age of 22, Joseph Drouhin founded its winery in Burgundy. Today, the company is continued by his four grandchildren. In the early 1960s, the Joseph Drouhin winery was the first to hire a woman as an oenologist in Burgundy.

Tasting note
The sensory impression on the nose suggests a skilfully vinified and typical representative of the Cru-Beaujolais. JOSEPH DROUHIN knows his craft: This dense, elegant red wine develops intense, ripe fruit aromas (strawberry, redcurrant, raspberry) as well as floral notes (violet, rose) and subtle spicy notes in the glass. It is a complex wine that shines with finesse and elegance in its lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with canapé, quiche lorraine, veal with cream sauce & veal cutlet.
Vinification
Aged for several months in pièce (228 litre French oak barrels)
