About the wine

The young Col di Bacche winery is located near the Parco Naturale dell' Uccellina in the Maremma region, about 15 km from the sea. The vineyards are located in a south-southwest direction. On predominantly calcareous soils and an altitude of 170 to 260 m above sea level, planted mainly with Sangiovese, 13 ha are cultivated. The majority of the vineyards, 8 ha, are destined for the Morellinos. The basis for the quality of the wines is the careful selection of the grapes, modern and controlled vinification and maturation in various barriques of different ages. Col di Bacche wines have always been at the forefront of Gambero Rosso since 2005.
