Tasting note
The Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche in the glass is intense golden yellow with brilliant reflections. On the nose, a noble and complex bouquet of ripe citrus fruits, exotic notes, white flowers, honey and fine roasted aromas such as roasted almonds and brioche unfolds. On the palate, the wine is majestic and powerful, with a dense structure, excellent balance between freshness and fullness, fine minerality and an extremely long, elegant finish — a Grand Cru of great depth and complexity.
Culinary recommendation
An ideal accompaniment to fine dishes such as lobster, scallops, turbot, veal fillet or truffle dishes — a treat even solo for special occasions.
Vinification
The grapes come from the prestigious Le Montrachet vineyard, which Joseph Drouhin has been cultivating exclusively by the Marquis de Laguiche family for decades. After careful handpicking, fermentation takes place in French oak barrels (approx. 30% new), followed by aging on fine yeast for 15 to 18 months with batonnage.
