Podere Castorani’s Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is an easygoing red with juicy, fresh fruit and smooth drinkability. It’s just the kind of wine you want with good company, whether you’re hanging out or enjoying a casual meal.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red with a tendency towards purple. On the nose, it shows spicy, chocolaty and vanilla aromas, together with notes of wild berries and dried roses. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, characterized by silky and elegant tannins. It is very persistent and ends with balsamic notes of tobacco and jam-like blueberries.
Culinary recommendation
For the whole meal, it goes well with rich meat dishes, braised or fried. It goes well with particularly mature cheeses.
Vinification
Careful vinification and approximately 12 months of aging in wooden barrels are followed by 15 months of bottle aging. The result was a true point of reference for the entire denomination, a red wine that should not be missed.
