About the wine
Elvio Cogno is one of those winemaking legends who brought Barolo and his Nebbiolo wines to today's level. His son-in-law Valter Fissore, together with daughter Nadia, not only manages his inheritance, but also draws attention with a sure sense for finesse wines. Montegrilli is a distinctive wine personality made from the noble Nebbiolo grape; you could describe him as the little brother of Barolo, which was vinified specifically for younger enjoyment: shorter and not in wooden barrels, with an emphasis on freshness and fruit.
