Merlot Napa Valley 2020 - Duckhorn Vineyards

Inspired by a visit to Bordeaux, Dan Duckhorn produced the first vintage of Duckhorn Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot in 1978. This wine, which highlights the vineyards and top locations of Napa Valley, reflects the diversity of the valley's diverse appellations. The cuvée with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon gives it remarkable depth and structure as well as Merlot characteristic aromas of black cherry, plum and spices. On the nose, it reveals vivid aromas of red currants, ripe plums, black raspberries, cherries and sweet baking spices, underlined with notes of tea leaves and cocoa. Rich on the palate, with silky tannins and aromas of ripe red berries, baked cake and fig compote, which end in an elegant finish.
