About the wine
Gerhard and Brigitte Pittnauer, also called Pittis, cultivate approx. 20 ha of vines (95% red and 5% white) around the municipality of Gols in Burgenland. Gerhard took over the company from his parents in the early 90s and, in just a few years, managed to transform the company from a small no-name company to one of the rising producers in the region. Tasting note
Deep granular red with purple inclusions. On the nose, ripe cherry fruit and a hint of plums. Complex, tight, dark fruit. Chocolaty, long finish.
Culinary recommendation
An ideal partner with game and poultry as well as duck, goose and pheasant.
