About the wine
Picturesque and enchanting landscapes of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon) give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Mengoba conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. If Valentine's Day was a wine, it would definitely be the distinctive Grenache 2019 — Mencía Alicante Bouschet. The Flaschenpöstler promise a dining experience when you serve this grenache with vegetables or red meat.
Tasting note
The intense bouquet with fruity and herbal notes combines aromas of cherries, pomegranates and violets with a complex herbal note. Very juicy in the mouth, with refreshing acidity and fine-grained tannin, earthy and fruity on the finish. A wonderfully precise and straightforward wine with an inspiring drinking flow.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Asian dishes, cheeses, barbecues
Vinification
Hand harvesting and careful selection. Fermentation in 5000 liter wood foudre with 30% whole grapes. The wine is then stored in Foudre for 12 months and bottled unfiltered.
