About the product
In an old fishing village near Barcelona, there is an 18th-century chapel that houses a custom-made distillery that produced Gin Mare for the first time, inspired not only by local plants and flavors but also by the rhythms and culture of the place. The chapel and distiller still stand proudly at the entrance to the distillery and welcome visitors and invite them to experience the Mediterranean culture of gastronomy, drinks and the gentle rhythm of life under the sun.
Tasting note
The gin from the Mediterranean region - made with plants that play a central role in Mediterranean cuisine (olives, thyme, rosemary, basil). The botanicals, such as rosemary and thyme, provide pine and herbal aromas. Basil provides balsamic and spicy aromas, and the Arbequina olive rounds everything off with its green, salty and fruity aroma. The result is a spicy profile, perfect for pairing with food.
Vinification
The acidity of our main ingredient, the Arbequina olive, changes every year. This means that every single distillation is a unique culinary work of art. Gin Mare is made using traditional Mediterranean techniques, with the sole aim of creating a true Mediterranean gin. All this is achieved through a delicate maceration process, the independent distillation of every vegetable ingredient and the extensive experience of our team.
