About the wine
Our new addition from Mendrisiotto! A single-varietal Merlot from the vineyard of Tenuta Masserone in the municipality of Rancate. An intense and velvety wine, perfect for warm full moon nights!

Tasting note
A pleasant, fruity wine with a high level of complexity. The bouquet enchants with an intense scent of cherry wine and strawberries, with light notes of dark berries, tobacco and chocolate. On the palate, Masserone is a harmonious wine of medium intensity and persistence, with well-structured tannins. A successful Ticino Merlot!

Goes well with barbecues, risotto, stews, Italian cuisine, pasta
Vinification
The wine is aged in wooden barrels of 5000 liters and then matures for 18 months in first-use and second-use barriques, so that the wood does not affect the primary fruit aroma of Merlot.
