Tasting note
Dense dark purple color with plum reflections. On the nose, aromas of ripe fruit, notes of toasted bread and spicy nuances with a certain dominance of cloves. Powerful, expansive structure on the palate accompanied by strong tannins. Long-lasting aftertaste with a nice balance of spice and fruit notes. An ideal combination of wine and barrique.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with warm duck liver, oven-braised poultry specialities (quail, goose), rabbit, heavily seasoned red meat, soft cheese, desserts with black chocolate.
