Faiveley’s 2023 Marsannay Es Chézots captures the pure, fresh character of Pinot Noir from a prized vineyard site. Crafted with attention to detail, this red is vibrant and balanced, offering lively fruit and a smooth texture that’s made for easy enjoyment with good company.
Tasting note
Nice, brilliant ruby red color. The Marsannay reveals a berry bouquet with aromas of blackberries and plums. On the palate, it is opulent, fruity and with a long finish.
Vinification
The grapes picked by hand are fermented for approx. 18-20 days. After a very gentle pressing process, the young wine is aged in barriques for approx. 14 months (25% new French oak barrels). The wine then rests in steel tanks for approx. 2 months before being bottled.
