About the wine

For 400 years (!) The château is family-owned, and yet it is one of the most overlooked châteaus in Bordeaux. Although the wines do not excel at Primeur tastings due to the moderate alcohol levels, they regularly shine in blind tastings and are full of life even after decades. What kind of characters who combine tradition and future here. So do Pascal and Jean-Pierre Amoreau, full of humility in front of nature, only minimal intervention in the vineyard, biodynamic viticulture since the 1990s (certified). In the cellar, the two character heads without exception refrain from using new wood, added sulfur and filtration. Le Puy, these are unique wines that tell the centuries of family history. The fact that they have already been denied the AOC label due to lack of typicality can only be understood as an award after having tasted them only once! Great, fascinating wines!

Tasting note
An angel — a heavenly creature. Soft and transparent, sweet lightness, predominantly light fruit, large bright flowers, a touch of mustard, an exuberant weightlessness and disembolism. Gentle as a cloud on the palate, soft and large, yet almost without body, floating light, ripe, aromatic fruit, pear, lychee, blossoms again, wonderful transparency and soft mineral finesse, so light, so gentle, full of harmony, you won't forget that for a long time!
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Fermentation of destemmed berries with the vineyard's own yeasts, aging and maturing in old, small oak barrels, unsulphured, unfiltered.
