About the wine

The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is one of the oldest and most important appellations in Italy. The Bonci Casuccini family has always had close ties to the beautiful Montepulciano area. Wine Spectator: 92/100

Item no. 1191816
Tasting note
Ruby red color. On the nose, ripe fruit, flowers and spices. Freshness and complexity, fine and velvety tannins are the result of carefully selected Sangiovese grapes. This wine is lively and expresses the traditional characteristics of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from the Pieve di Argiano area in Montepulciano.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with traditional side dishes, red meats (both fried and pickled), game and aged cheeses.
Vinification
The selection of Sangiovese grapes from the Montepulciano area of Tre Berte, in Pieve di Argiano, results in fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where the maceration takes about 18 days at a controlled temperature of 28/30°C. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to oak barrels with a capacity of 50 hl, where malolactic fermentation takes place and the wine ages for at least 18 months. The bottled wine is then stored in the cellar for around six months.
