About the wine
Since its founding in the early eighties, Cantina Santa Barbara has set itself one main goal: to revive the local grape varieties of the brands, such as Verdicchio and Montepulicano. The 25 hectares owned by Stefano Antonucci and the 15 leased hectares, with vines aged between three and thirty years, grow in Arcevia, Montecarotto, Serra de' Conti and Barbara, around 200 meters above sea level.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red with a sumptuous bouquet of wild fruits. Full bodied taste, great structure, fruity, very long finish with notes of blackberries and raspberries.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with game, lamb and aged cheese.
Vinification
Translation of pathos: Greek “suffering”, passionately moving expression, solemn emotion. A highly concentrated, elegant, powerful wine. 12 m. barrique
