Tasting note
The first nose opens with hawthorn, acacia honey and flint. Nice development in the glass with a very elegant bouquet. In the mouth, the wine has a nice creaminess and an impressive aftertaste with linden blossoms and almond cream.
Vinification
The Maranges appellation is located south of Santenay in the southernmost part of the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Chavy-Chouet cultivates a pretty plot of land on the lower slope of the appellation in a south-west orientation called Les Meurées. The wine is aged in barrels for 10 months.
