The winemaker from the South African winery Hillcrest is absolutely proficient in his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and graceful landscape of the Coastal Region. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Malbec with barbecue or stuffed peppers.

Tasting note
The Saartjie Malbec is a sumptuous wine from a single vineyard that shows beautifully complex aromas of black cherries and plums. There is a touch of spice on the palate and sweet floral notes on the nose. This is a well-balanced wine with accessible, supple tannins. Good to drink now, but can still be stored. The Saartjie range of single-varietal wines is grown on the estate and made from small individual vines. Great care and careful selection takes place to ensure that only the best wines are produced as a result. The name Saartjie was introduced after the Jack Russell puppy from our winemaker, Saartjie.
