Tasting note
Dark chocolate, mineral and tobacco nuances support the rich notes of mulberry, cassis, blueberry and black berries and plums. Soft, chalky tannins with a lively texture on the palate. A fine, aromatic finish with persistent length and creamy, flint texture.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef tenderloin, coq au vin or on its own on a fire or slightly chilled (18°C) as a great summer red wine.
Vinification
Malolactic fermentation followed by a 12-month aging in 300-liter French oak barrels, including 27% in new wood, to promote structure and aromatic depth.
