Tasting note
The Maikammer Chardonnay is a real pleasure prize wonder. Nowhere else is there so much Chardonnay at this price. Incredibly clear and profound scent Fresh citrus fruit meets a spicy and mineral background. The scent looks eerily Burgundian and radiates a noble brilliance. Nice balance between creamy texture and juicy acidity. The wine shows good tension and a lot of pressure. The fruit is still soft and reserved, but the minerality is all the more distinctive and powerful. Good length with a terroir-accentuated finish.
Vinification
Aging for 16 months without sulfur in wooden barrels (100% new wood).
