About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Austrian winery Gerhard Markowitsch masters this red wine in the sunny countryside in Carnuntum. We have a special, provocative Merlot from 2015 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Tasting note
Composed this year from 68% Merlot, 22% Blaufränksch and 10% Cabernet Franc. The longer you smell this wine, the greater the variety of aromas that unfold: plums and blackberries, tobacco and orange zest, light raspberries and dark cherries, cinnamon and pepper, cloves and cedar. Fine tannins give a firm structure, the finish is slightly salty and therefore very distinctive.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with dark meat dishes, braised or grilled, such as a nice Black Angus steak or a shoulder of lamb from the oven, also wonderful with game.
