About the wine

At the beginning of the 20th century, the First World War presented Louis Roederer with major challenges — half of the vineyards were destroyed. But Léon Olry Roederer looked ahead: He began buying grapes from other winemakers in order to preserve the house's tradition. At the same time, the idea of a champagne was born that impresses with its consistent taste year after year — regardless of the harvest.
