About the wine
Quinta das Marias is located in the heart of Dão, Portugal's oldest DOC area. The winery was founded in 1991 by Elisabeth and Peter Eckert. The two Swiss wine pioneers initially bought 4 hectares of land. Today, the charming Quinta covers 12 hectares in a prime location. The winery only grows autochthonous plants. Thanks to the excellent climatic conditions and the exceptional terroir, wines of first-class quality are produced. Within a very short period of time, the company developed into a model company from the Dão wine-growing region.

Tasting note
Deep ruby red with purple reflections. Black fruit aromas such as blueberries and blackcurrants. On the palate, very balanced acidity and beautifully integrated tannins. Long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty meat dishes, such as game or grilled meats, and with mature cheese. An ideal companion for every day.
