Tasting note
In 1970, the Lloyd family presented their first wine. Today, over half a century later, the family winery, today under the management of Peter and Paul Lloyd, still produces excellent wines from the same old vines as it did back then. The Lloyd Reserve Shiraz comes from a small, contiguous vineyard block that was planted as early as 1919. A concentrated, beautifully balanced wine. It is characterized by intense aromas of ripe blackberries, an intense but very fine tannin structure. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet elegant with dark, floral notes.
