About the wine

In 1879, the Pecorari family began their wine-growing activity near the old village of San Lorenzo, which is located in the heart of the Friuli region. The estate's vineyards, which cover more than 60 hectares, are located on a small plateau and are characterized by gravelly soils and rubble from the Quaternary period. Today, the Lis Neris winery is managed by Alvaro Pecorari in the fifth generation. Lis Neris focuses primarily on producing sophisticated wines and strives to use the available natural resources to give wines fine-tuning and elegance. Another cornerstone for today's success is modern cellar technology, which makes it possible to optimally utilize the potential of the vineyards. The best young wines are aged in French oak barrels to achieve even more complexity and finesse. It is not without reason that the most influential Italian wine guide Gambero Rosso awarded the winery nine times two and even three glasses three times three times in 2007.
