Tasting note
On the nose, there are intense aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, violet, dark chocolate and a touch of vanilla and smoke. Powerful and velvety on the palate, with ripe fruit, fine roasted aromas, well-integrated tannins and a long, spicy-mineral finish. Lindenburg is a structured, dense Lagrein that combines elegance with typical South Tyrolean abundance.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with braised beef, game dishes, rack of lamb, aged mountain cheese, bacon, grilled meat or polenta with mushroom ragout. Also ideal with traditional Tyrolean cuisine with a modern twist.
Vinification
Ageing for approx. 12 months in barriques and large oak barrels
