About the wine
Elisabetta Foradori and Rainer Zierock were always a moment ahead of their time. At a time when the entire wine world was looking at and honoring the grape varieties known as international, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, their full attention was paid to Teroldego, which is native to Trentino. At their winery, which had existed since 1901 and was owned by the Foradori family in 1939, they were already working on a Teroldego mass selection in 1985. Just one year later, they pressed the first “Granato”. To this day, an icon wine among European wines. The move towards biodynamic viticulture followed in 2002, certified since 2009. Emilio, Theo and Myrtha continue and develop their parents' work today. Together with their mother, Elisabetta, they are working on an operating concept back to a part of a mixed company as it was in the past. Always working in the cycle of nature, always ahead of its time.
