About the wine
L'Enfant Terrible de la Rhône! Or at least that was François Villard when he planted his first vines as a career changer at the end of the 80s and really stirred up the wine scene in the northern Rhône. Quickly hailed as a shooting star back then, he is still one of the most recognized and established winemakers in the region today. His wines inspire and fascinate. They are always full of intensity and power, but are never too lush or bulky. Total enthusiasm guaranteed!

Tasting note
A French summer - Lively, warm, it smells of summer fruits, mirabelle, yellow peach, grapefruit, also lemon peel, the afternoon heaviness, in the form of violet scent and licorice, makes you glide into a relaxing siesta, a whiff of saffron and beeswax is in the air. Full summer on the palate again, aromatic with crunchy, juicy fruit, lots of melting and grip, long-lasting, complex, with a touch of wood in the aftertaste, beautifully integrated and not over-perfumed. So picturesque, carefree, full of so much love.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Pressed directly and fermented each plot individually with the vineyard's own yeasts in temperature-controlled barrels, aged for 11 months in used oak barrels on the yeast without stirring.
