The dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 — Lemartine Rosso Toscana IGT is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. The fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Poggio Antico conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Tasting note
The Azienda Poggio Antico with its 37 hectares of vineyards is the highest vineyard in Montalcino. The vine has been certified organic since 2020. The fantastic thing about Azienda Poggio Antico wines is their combination of maximum concentration and the most sophisticated richness of nuances, they never seem overloaded or heavy. Lemartine takes the name of one of the old farmhouses, located in the middle of the Poggio Antico winery. It is surrounded by vines and olive groves and, of course, by cypresses, which the former owner had hundreds of planted on his extensive property. The vines here were planted in 1997 and 2003. In addition to Sangiovese Brunello, it also includes Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The result is an exciting wine that combines race with class, which is perfectly proportioned and extremely clearly defined.
