About the wine
The Leda winery knows how to build on a unique treasure of over 50-year-old Tempranillo vines, all from vineyards near Valladolid and Ribera del Duero in the greater Castilla y Léon region. The winery's top-quality wine is aged in oak barriques for 30 months. It impresses with its dark purple color, the aroma is characterized by notes of black cherries and chocolate. Fine, ripe tannins contribute to the structure. An excellent classic up to date.

Tasting note
The Masaveu family owns wineries in various regions of Spain. One of them is little Leda in Tudela del Duero near Valladolid. Leda Viñas Viejas comes from various vineyards in Ribera del Duero and Toro. The Tempranillo vines are an impressive 70 to 100 years old. The yield is a modest 2000-2500 kg/ha. Depending on the vintage, the wine is aged for 18 — 24 months in French and American oak barrels. A wonderfully grouped, spicy wine with a distinctive structure.
