About the wine
A quiet soul, the small, fine Félix Guinand winery is located amidst the warm hills of the southern Côtes-du-Rhône, where lavender scents and cicada songs accompany the summer. Wines such as Le Matou Rouge are produced here, a cuvée with an unmistakable style: juicy, spicy, simply honest. The handwriting of Félix Guinand is restrained but precise. Not overloaded pomp, but grounded elegance, made for people who would rather drink than pose. Every drop of this house therefore carries a small piece of Rhône in its heart - unpretentious, delightful, full of joie de vivre, always in harmony with nature, produced biodynamically for years.

Tasting note
Félix le Chat - He comes quietly, but with a presence you won't forget: a charming southern Frenchman, dark fruit: cherry, plum, blackberry, spicy notes of black pepper, laurel and a touch of garrigue awaken memories of warm summer evenings between vines and stone walls. Its tannins are soft but noticeable - like claws that don't scratch but play. He wears the sun of the Rhône in his heart, his character is delightful, round, with that tasty nonchalance that is so typically French. No muscle play, no theatre, he doesn't need a show, he purrs right into his heart.
Vinification
Selketive reading partly by hand. Spontaneous fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts, gently extracted, aging in concrete tanks and 10% used barriques.
