About the wine
This distinctive Merlot 2015 — Le Maestrelle Toscana IGT crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Santa Cristina conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or duck.

Tasting note
Medium ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, dark, ripe fruit paired with warm spices. Very fruity and tasty on the palate. With melting tannins, ripe berry aromas and a juicy, medium-long aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with salsiccia with beans or tortellini in brodo.
Vinification
The selection of the three grape varieties from “Le Maestrelle” is harvested from mid-September when they have reached the best degree of ripeness. The grape varieties are fermented separately and aged 15% in barriques. After a short period of aging in the bottle, the wine is sold.
