About the wine
The Tenuta di Trinoro of the cult winemaker Andrea Franchetti, located in a godforsaken part of Tuscany south of the Brunello area, has quickly become a myth. Wine lovers from all over the world go into raptures when they hear this name. In the Val d'Orcia near the border with Umbria and Lazio, the somewhat cranky scion from the Cinzano Empire and nephew of the famous American painter Cy Twombly devises and develops some very unusual red wines.

Tasting note
Sensitive, noble young man. Everything is fine here, with a warm appearance, the dark berries, subtle, precise, the red fruits, including cherries, of gentle sweetness, the feminine elegance in harmony with masculine tart features, the fine perfume with flowers, slightly tart plants and a dark, sensitive minerality, a very fine person with a lot of depth in mind and heart. On the palate, soft, elegant movements, without harshness, the red fruit, including strawberries, the fine tart tannins and the dark sides, licorice, decorate this beautiful, slender and supple body.
Vinification
Late, selective reading by hand. Fermentation for 10-15 days in steel tanks, aging for 5 months in French oak barrels and for 12 months in cement tanks, bottled when the moon wanes.
