Tasting note
The intense bouquet is multi-layered, complex and balanced. It promises a special drinking experience! This vintage sports wine, which is only bottled after a few years of barrel aging - in English “late bottled vintage” - keeps what it says in the nose. The LBV the Quinta das Carvalhas takes you on a sensory adventure journey: diverse aromas of ripe, dried, canned and cooked fruits as well as a range of exotic spices reveal themselves on the palate and in the almost endless finale that is so typical of a class port wine. Body and content on the one hand and harmony and elegance on the other are the quality factors on which this important postage is based.

Vinification
The pressing takes place in so-called lagares (open concrete tanks), then aged for 48 months in traditional oak and chestnut barrels (pipes) with a capacity of 550 liters
