About the wine
We Flaschenpöstler recommend the dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 for Valentine's Day. Wonderful landscapes in Levante give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery The Wine Gurus conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burger or ribeye steak.
Tasting note
A unique red wine - a journey from Spain's north to south: 50% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) from Ribera del Duero and 50% Monastrell from Murcia. Intense ruby red. Intense aromas of red fruits, plus elegant notes of cocoa, roasted aromas and leather. Great pleasure on the palate, with a well-balanced acidity and freshness. Long aftertaste with well-polished and firm tannins that bring out the body of the wine.
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes well with grilled meat, game dishes and aged cheese.
Vinification
12 months in new French barriques. Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) comes from Ribera del Dueros vines that are between 35 and 100 years old. The Monastrell comes from 8 different plots at 600 m above sea level in the northern part of the “Sierra de la Pila” National Park (Murcia).
