Las Seis Alhajas Rioja DOCa 2021 - Bodegas Valdemar

Las Seis Alhajas (“our six jewels”) comes from a 1.4 hectare vineyard in Oyón, which was selected in 1991 due to its ideal conditions to plant six different Graciano clones and thus contribute to the preservation of this endangered grape variety — with success! The wine is presented in an intense, cherry-red robe. On the nose, strong aromas of dark fruits develop, which are complemented by balsamic notes of incense and graphite. Spicy nuances, such as black pepper, give it a delightful complexity. On the palate, it impresses with a silky texture, a wide range of flavors and a long, persistent finish, which clearly highlights the unmistakable character of the Graciano grape and leaves a lasting, pleasant impression.
