About the wine
Lagrein is one of the autochthonous and oldest grape varieties in South Tyrol. In the past, wine was mainly aged as rosé; it was only since the 80s of the last century that the “Lagrein dunkel” became established.

Tasting note
A fantastic aroma of violets, chocolate, licorice, wild fruits. In our Lagrein, this fruity character and — due to very pleasant tannins — velvety taste are rounded off by storage in French barriques, although the wood notes never come to the fore.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with game, spicy meat dishes and aged cheese.
Vinification
After fermentation in concrete barrels, Lagrein is aged in barrique barrels for almost a year and then stored in large wooden barrels.
