Tasting note
The Lagrein is dark garnet red with purple reflections. On the nose, strong aromas of sour cherries, wild fruits, plums, violets, sweet spices and some chocolate inspire. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated with lots of cherry fruit, concentrated and well-integrated acidity, velvety tannins and a smooth finish. A typical and extremely accessible Lagrein.

Goes well with spicy dishes, game, stews, cheese
Vinification
The grapes for this Lagrein come from south-facing slopes with an inclination of approx. 30% at 250-380 meters above sea level. There, the vines are rooted on gravelly, fertile prophyric soil. After manual harvesting, classic mash fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. The aging takes place on fine yeast in large wooden barrels.
