About the wine
The beautiful vineyards of Aia Vecchia are located on the Tuscan coast, in Bolgheri and Maremma. The family business was founded 20 years ago, Lagone was the first wine to be launched — and wine critics immediately applauded.

Tasting note
The range of aromas is rich: spicy notes (pepper, licorice, cinnamon, truffles), red berries (cherry, strawberry), cassis, blackberry, a touch of vegetables, hot peppers, forest soil and ageing aromas (caramel, vanilla, coffee). Beneath the thick robe, there are noticeable tannins, which, together with their fruity acidity, are responsible for a distinctive structure. The astonishing versatility is the result of a skilful blend of different grape varieties. The finale is of impressive length and intensity.
