La Cueva del Contador Rioja DOCa 2021 - Bodega Contador

The year 2021 began at Contador with a humid winter followed by a dry spring. There was rain again in June, which benefited the vines during a hot and dry phase in July and August. Contador thus obtained a harvest that left nothing to be desired in terms of quantity and quality. In keeping with Benjamin's typical lack of compromise, they even went so far as to sacrifice 15% of production for a green harvest so that the plants could put all their strength into the best grapes. All plots could be read at the optimal time. The result is wines that perfectly manage the balancing act between immense power and great freshness.
