About the wine

When Swedish-born Peter Skoglund moved to Spain in 2018, he wasn’t just looking for retirement – he was seeking a new adventure. Together with his wife, he bought a piece of land in Montsant, learned the craft of winemaking from the ground up and quickly won the trust of the local wine community with his open and down-to-earth nature. Today, Bell Cros cultivates around 16 hectares of vineyards above the picturesque village of Marçà. “La Colina” – The Hill – is a symbol of this story: The wine speaks of the view over the vineyards and of the people who shape it. Step by step, this is becoming a winery defined by quality, sustainability, and personality. The 2023 vintage was awarded Silver and 92 points at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards – and you can taste why: an elegant, fresh red wine, soft, approachable and beautifully balanced. Or as Peter puts it: “Happiness in a bottle.”
