La Closerie De Fourtet 2022 is a friendly, fresh red blend that’s easy to enjoy. With juicy Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc, it’s a smooth, inviting wine that fits perfectly with good company and laid-back moments.

Tasting note
The 2022 vintage features aromas of ripe cherries and licorice. On the palate, it is soft, polished and fresh, with a pleasant sweetness of the fruit and a persistent finish.
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes well with grilled meat, game dishes and aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by manual pigeage (weaving in the pomace hat). Mash fermentation takes 25 to 30 days. This is followed by malolactic fermentation in tanks and barrels. The aging takes place in barriques for 16 to 18 months, with 20% of the barrels being new and 80% coming from a previous wine.
