Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this presentable Tempranillo 2018 — La Calleja Tinto DOC Rioja. Picturesque and fertile landscapes of the Upper Ebro give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodega Alegre Valgañon conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This tempranillo is ideal to serve with polenta or red meat.

Tasting note
Ripe red fruit, herbs and wood notes dominate; a little air makes the wine rounder and softer on the palate. The tannins are firm and well integrated. A great wine with a long finish.

Vinification
Fermentation with local yeasts and 15% of the stems in an open vat. After gentle pressing, the wine is aged for 22 months in 225 and 500 liter French and American oak barrels.
