About the wine
The fertile and sunny landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Damilano conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. This outstanding red wine 2015 — La Blu Barbera d'Alba DOC crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Barbera with Piedmontese dishes or pasta.
Tasting note
The wine has a ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose, aromas of blackberries, cherries and plums develop, accompanied by spicy notes such as cinnamon, vanilla and green pepper. On the palate, it is full-bodied with pleasant freshness and juiciness.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with red meat, game dishes and aged cheeses.
Vinification
The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 15 days. The wine is then aged in wooden barrels for a few months to refine its structure and aromas.
