About the wine
In 1930, the Terreni alla Maggia agricultural estate was established in the Maggia river delta. The agricultural and wine-growing area of around 130 hectares is located in the municipalities of Ascona, Locarno, Gordola and Avegno. Since 1950, wine has been cultivated in addition to agriculture and poultry farming.

Tasting note
Sense of smell of great subtlety and complexity. The fruity part offers notes of red fruits. The roastiness is light and well-integrated, combined with a balsamic background of dried flowers, orange peel and oriental spice notes. A wine of class and great longevity. Dry, elegant and with excellent acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with baked Terreni alla Maggia rice with eggplant and Ticino cheese gratin, lasagna with eggplant and lamb stew, chateaubriand with béarnaise sauce.
