Tasting note
Three cypresses, three vines, three grape varieties. A wine: TRES. In the very best vintages, the three oldest and best small plots of Kurtatsch are harvested and vinified at the lowest yield quantities. Grown on red, sandy clay soils and gravelly dolomite soils in the Brenntal region, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon come together to create an inimitable Alpine-Mediterranean cuvée.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with dark meat dishes such as lamb, beef, game, fried poultry and aged cheese.
Vinification
Fermentation wooden fermentation rack, aging in French barriques for 15 months, a further 9 months in large oak barrels and 4.5 years in bottle storage.
