Tasting note
Krug Vintage celebrates the unmistakable character of a particular year — a composition of its most expressive wines, refined through more than a decade of aging in the cellars. Each Krug Vintage is unique: a small ensemble playing the music of the year, captured by Krug. The year 2013 began with a cold and rainy growing season, which delayed vine flowering. The summer sun spurred the vines to develop fruit, but ripening continued slowly. The autumn harvest took place from September 25 to October 16 and produced excellent Chardonnay as well as structured yet restrained Pinot Noirs and Meuniers of great length.
Culinary recommendation
Creamy pasta with sea urchin. Fresh goat cheese with candied citrus fruits. Sea bass ceviche with ginger and lemongrass. Fragrant pak choi with lotus root and Thai spices.
