Tasting note
Elegant wine with aromas of lychee and roses. Rich and fresh on the palate with roundness and salty aftertaste. Kritt von Kreydeweiss is the king of aromatic sweet wines from Alsace. The 45 g/l residual sugar is perfectly balanced by the beautiful phenolic structure and fresh acidity. The fine aromas of rose petals and Turkish Delight make the wine a pleasant accompaniment to desserts or even perfect as a digestive.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with foie gras with figs, Asian dishes with a fine spiciness, soft cheeses such as Munster or Brie, and smoked fish or poultry.
Vinification
Slow pressing of the whole grapes, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation with local yeasts, aging on the yeast in oak barrels for one year before bottling.
