Krasno Syrah 2022 - Klet Brda

Krasno Syrah is a distinctive red wine from western Slovenia that combines the international Syrah grape variety with the Mediterranean-alpine character of Goriška Brda. In the barren, rocky soils of the Kras region and under the influence of warm days and cool nights, this wine develops strength, freshness and expression. In the glass, the wine is deep ruby red with purple reflections. The nose is characterized by ripe dark berries, black pepper, violets and a fine herbal spice. A touch of roasted wood and licorice completes the aromatic profile. On the palate, the Krasno Syrah is full-bodied, structured yet elegant, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. The aging in large wooden barrels and barriques gives the wine depth and complexity without covering the fruit. The aftertaste is long, spicy and pleasantly mineral.
