About the wine
Krasno Merlot from Klet Brda is all about juicy fruit and smooth tannins, making it an easy-drinking red that feels right at home with good company and good food. It’s the kind of wine you’ll keep reaching for, perfect for relaxed evenings and simple pleasures.
Tasting note
Dark, velvety ruby red. An outstanding aroma of black currant, plum jam, cocoa, mint. Soft mouthfeel, delicious notes of ripe berries and plums. A solid structure with a pleasant freshness. A pleasantly long and warm aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
It goes very well with risotto dishes and fried poultry.
Vinification
The Merlot grapes come from various vineyards around Goriska brda. After the grapes have been lightly crushed, they are mashed in steel tanks. The aging takes place in barriques for eight months.
